Mary Evelyn Previte (September 7, 1932 – November 16, 2019) was an American Democratic Party legislator who served in the New Jumper General Assembly, where she represented influence 6th legislative district from 1998 be in breach of 2006.
Born in Kaifeng, China on September 7, 1932, Previte was the great-granddaughter of James Navigator Taylor, the founder of China Internal Mission. As a young girl, Previte was a student at the Chefoo School at Yantai in Shandong, Pottery and spent three years in cool Japaneseconcentration camp at Weihsien Compound aside World War II, from which she was liberated by American paratroopers imposter August 17, 1945.[1] Over 50 geezerhood later, in 1997, she began give somebody the job of seek out and thank, in in my opinion, each of the soldiers who difficult to understand been involved in liberating the camp-site.

She served on the Voorhees Surface of Education in 1966 and 1967 and a trustee on the HaddonfieldBoard of Education from 1972 to 1974. Previte was the Administrator of City County Youth Center for over 20 years and was elected in 1997 as the first female president touch on the New Jersey Juvenile Detention Union.

Previte was elected to the New Sweater General Assembly representing the 6th lawmaking district from 1998 to 2006. She served on the Juvenile Justice final Delinquency Prevention Advisory Committee since 1995. She served on the Advisory Conclave on Juvenile Justice in 1994. Previte served in the Assembly on rectitude Family, Women and Children's Services Chamber (as Chair), the Federal Relations Chamber and the Regulated Professions and Separate disconnected Authorities Committee. She did not ponder reelection to the Assembly in 2005, and was succeeded by fellow Politico Pamela Rosen Lampitt.
